Macau Diaries: 官也街

Dad received my first cheque for him yesterday, it was my first time in my life giving money to the parent, weird, it feels so.... feel so grown up, and responsible. Now I just wish I could earn more money and organize a trip to Taiwan with my family. Fingers crossed ;)

As the title above, this is a post about Macau, of course, its mainly about food again. Seriously how can anyone resist from a food heaven like Macau where all the food can bring you blissfully ever after? Even some simple and cheap street food here taste so good Omg! *giving up diet fml max!

Never feel as productive as today, I actually blogging something really fresh and updated! Becoz I always save all the pictures in draft after those outings and only blog when the mood comes but hey no, I am now blogging about what happened and what I did today fresh and hot, like pizza delivery! LOL!

官也街; Rua Do Cunha; Taipa Food Street; Guan Ye Street, whatever it calls. is truly a Cate Street! Sin Mei and I have plan to walk around at Guan Ye for quite some times already but no time lah our off days always different one! Until today, yeah like finally, so we decided to seek for some local foods in the infamous street in Macau.

There you are the signage, how can it be so inconspicuous and hidden underneath a green curtain.
Good news, its location is very near to where I am staying and I don't even realize it until today. Too bad la I shouldn't have spend all my off days laid-back at home.

We did some research on google before we went, and this is what HIGHLY recommended by most of the blogger who traveled to Macau before, and my colleague told me this is one of the two coffee shops sell original pork chop bun here. I tried twice in other restaurant before, I think what my colleague said is true. This is the best! Succulent meat with crispy bun. Expensive but its all worth.

We were quite lucky to had it without the need of queuing up (as from other blog says, they queued for 30-45mins to get a bun)
Someone's house, I bet it must be pleasantly cool inside.

Its quite a quiet street actually, or because today is Monday. =.=

Direct translation: Cripple Stairs. Stairs for cripples? Something I like about Macau is they have a lot of interesting road/ street names. I'll show you next time.

You can easily recognize I am actually facing a very serious fashion crisis,
I'm still wearing the same top that I bought 2 years ago, still the same pair of jeans and the very hohum hairstyle. Shopping and haircut in need! ><

Rooster Portugese Restaurant. We are not going for any fine dining this time though, leave it to next visit.
We aim for snacks this time. *grins

Don't know Macau-nese like agar agar too!

We had this Durian flavor agar agar, gosh it tastes very Durian-ish, thereare durian flesh in every spoon of it. Yum! Can quench my durian-craved temporary. LOL! Too bad it is too expensive and too little which you can finish it in a few spoons. But anyhoo, worth for a try.

My companion. She just got herself loads of new clothes from HK yesterday, too bad I was working.*envious

From the pic above, ya know what we had next.

Yes! Bird nest tart!

Its Sin Mei's long crave. I thought it would be cost us a lot but no its only RM4 for one.

It tastes like steamed milk on a butter tart, I don't really like it but it is Sin Mei's top favourite food now.

Oh ya some unpleasant experienced we had here, we were forced to order drinks in order to have a sit in the coffee shop, otherwise we can only take away the tarts. What the heck is this kind of service! We paid for the tarts ok! And their drinks are very costly! Grrrr.... dislike the staff manners!

Many steamboat, Korean and Japanese restaurants here.

LOL at Sin Mei! And she did went into this temple, not posing for photo only.

Some random coffee house

So this is where we had the pork chop bun. No fancy signage nor smartly decoration but yet it full house everyday. Respect to their spirit in produce quality food.

Some handcraft by kids set outside a preliminary school.

The Wallace Fountain.
Where the four beauties stand for simplicity, harmony, charity, and goodness.
And you can drink the water directly for the bless of these four goddess.

Take away Taiwan bubble tea and left for home before the night falls.

Sometimes life can be just so relaxing and simple, it is depends on how you want it to be. Stress released and should re-collect my mood for another challenging day ahead.
