Hello braces!

Oo Hellooo!

So last year around June-Aug, I started to noticed that I was actually facing some difficulties in biting foods with my front teeth. In example, I found it really hard for me to bite vegetables/ noodles into smaller pieces with my front teeth, they just wouldn't cut into half albeit how hard I tried to bite them.

However, this hasn't been trouble me much by that time because I just didn't seem to care when I can use my inner teeth to do the flavor. But when I flipped through my pictures, I realized that my tongue tend to stick out all the time. It pushes my upper teeth and lower teeth apart, which the force eventually caused a horizontal gap between my teeth and my upper and lower teeth do not able to touch each other even when my mouth is closed, which, in dental term they called this disorder as "open-bite".

As you can see, although its not very obvious from the pictures, my tongue is sticking out most of the time. My dentist said it is due to my tongue is apparently too active (wtf?!) and maybe also because I have some nasal congestion problem (true especially at night coz sometimes I snore when I sleep but yet to check with the professional) so, unconsciously I'll breathe using my mouth instead of nose when I sleep, and which also lead to causing my front teeth to flare out.

They are not used to be like that though, I myself also not sure when does that happened but it is getting serious day by day and I really don't wish to see myself with huge gap between my teeth years later. After much hesitations, I decided to apply alignment braces to help in improving my jaw shape, to straighten my teeth as well as to cure the biting disorder which has been bringing me lots of trouble in eating.

First day of having braces

It was on 4th June when I finally made up my mind and give the braces a try, lol.
It has been a month now, except having a little trouble in eating, having to brush my teeth after every single meal and having to smile without teeth in pictures, I think so far I can adapt it very well. :)

So braces on now, and let's see how it goes maybe one and a half year later! *fingers crossed*

bless me! <3
