Lucky enough, we managed to got ourselves some cheap ferry tickets, 1/3 cheaper than the usual price. It was a double-deck ferry and I was quite excited to be seated at the frontal seats where we able to sight on the sea, but unfortunately, I had serious seasick on that morning, as such I wasn't able to enjoy the ride at all. I never had any "transport-sickness" before, maybe I shouldn't have eaten two big buns before the ride, and it was kind of wavy on that day, so... yeah, mind you, never have full meal before you are going into some rides, the nausea feeling was terrible. And in case you really feel that bad to be in an interspace with thin air, you should always ask your partner or somebody besides you to keep talking to you, it helps a lot especially to me. Thanks big time to Carrie, she worked very hard to decentralized me and made me feel better. :)
Congregated with Angel who waited us at HK Ferry Terminal after a 75min ride, immediately we went to Satay King, a restaurant selling multinational cuisine, highly recommended by Angel.
Hi to Ms. Angel.
Interior design, some pirate statuaries.
Food type range from Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indian and the most importantly is, Malaysian Food! Yay!
That's Carrie with Angel.
White Curry Pork Chop Rice- one of the most ordered dishes.
Very special indeed, white curry, hmm... I think it tastes like the combination of cheese, cream plus curry, some sort of taste like that, sorry I'm suck at describe foods, let me just leave it to your own imagination okay. =D
Beef Vermicelli with Satay soup- the must order dishes!
This is something that would give you a WOW!
It is heavenly scrumptious! The soup match perfectly with the vermicelli, I'm sure this would be the reason for me to patronage this restaurant again.Give them Lima Bintang! =D
Shrimp spring rolls. Normal only.
But this is good, I forget the dishes name but it is broccoli with eggs and crabs (fresh crab meats not the supermarket crab meat) Broccoli is my love.
My sis actually complaint that 70% of my HK trip pictures are all about food, well, I have to declare that it is because they were the only time I able to take out my camera to snap pic, other than that was my shopping time, too busy eyeing on those merchandises!
According to Angel, "Hui Lau San" is very well known in HK, everyone would go for it when they want desserts, the most salable is mango desserts. I bet my mom as a big fan of mango would love this.
Not forgetting to grab Carrie's favourite puff from Beard Papa before headed into subway station.
Went to Wan Chai's Queen Road for the infamous hot pot restaurant- 小肥牛 (Direct translate- Little Cattle)
Our last stop before heading back to Macau.
The flavoring pot
The ice cream look alike cuttle fish paste. Unique huh!
Leek dumplings
Fattened ox slices
Fried fish skin.
Just soak it into hot soup for 3 seconds then eat it with some soy sauce. Yummm!
Different kind of mushrooms
Fried tofu skin, one of the signature dish.
Both of them are my favourite ladies in the office. Another one is Adriana.
I couldn't thank them enough for being so helpful, thoughtful and caring.
I'm going to buy them two big pandan cakes when I return home. Haha!
I heart them!
Oh in case you are wondering, Pandan Cake from M'sia is very famous for them locals here, they describe it as a must buy food whenever they travel to M'sia. How amazing, I think non of us M'sian appreciate pandan cakes as much as they do. LOL!
Happy Me ;)
Hong Kong is definitely a shopping and food heaven, of course it is very busy.
People walk a lot faster here, and they eat very fast too.
I'm not able to follow their pace at all, so glad that I'm working in Macau, otherwise the compressive stress of living in HK would crack me down.
I think people there should slower down a bit, try to ease back and enjoy their life more,
we only lived once aren't we?
;)
