Days at Gerik

I'm Back! I'm back from Gerik! *been waiting for so long*

I spent my entire Cny mainly on eating, sleeping, watching tv, and eating, sleeping, watching tv. Know how bored am i huh?! 10 days holiday in Gerik, my maternal grandma's house, it was my first time celebrated Cny there. There's so many differences from how i usually spend my cny in Sandakan, we were required to stayed up all night on the new year eve to pray to the UNCLE CHOY (The chinese mammon a.k.a Choy Sen Ye), pomelo, mandarin oranges, candies, n some cakes were prepared on a table outside the house, then, when the clock strikes 12am (1st day of CNY), everyone takes turn to burn the "xiang", started from the oldest to the youngest, i'm exceptional because i'm a Christian. hehe!
After the must-do-etiquette, uncles n aunties started to distributed Ang Pau. We have to queue up n bless them Gong Xi Fa Cai! lol!

It is more liveliness here compare to my paternal families because all relatives came back and we all stuck inside this big house together. However, i miss my grandma, my relatives from Sandakan more. ;)

-My Grandma's house-
The grocer manage by the family is connecting with house.
I said it is big because it has 7 rooms. lol.

First dinner outside, treated by uncle, n i ate Frog!!!!
*being forced, they said i should try everything =.= *

The Grandma:
I feel like, as i grow bigger n bigger, she seems growing smaller n smaller.
I mean the body. lol.

This amazed me. Fried fish with salted beans. We usually see it in can right? But this is what homemade by my aunt. Geng!!

Hmm..... This is what i helped to made. A hakka dish, first time i tried then fell in love with it! real yummy~~ It is something made by yam mix with flour, after shaped it, stir-fry it like how u cook char-kuey-teow.

A visitation to other relative's house: somewhere called "ling tan" in chinese.
It's a very small kampung.

A real small temple there, "Ba Wang"

Kids are busy playing dota. sigh... kids nowadays are so advanced.

Then, last night in Gerik, we went to pasar malam.
They sell fried hamburger, i wonder how much calories do these contain. lol.

Telinga keling.

Apom balik with chocolate chips. special duh...

My favourite::

Forget what its name, "bla bla bulu"?

Today, before i left Gerik, grandma hugged me, i can see tears in her eyes, hmm.. makes me miss this place at that moment. I think i should go back to visit her more often, she's boring of nobody's willing to chat with her there, at least i'm willing to listen to her talking about her past, which my aunt will scold her for stop talking those histories.
So, i should go back to accompany her when i have holidays n not going back to Sandakan right? ok, deal!
