This is our second round restaurant operation day.
We reached school at about 9.30am. Then, started to prepared all the utensils, table cloths, napkins, goblets and etc. The menu of today is:
Salad: Caesar
Soup: French Onion Consomme
Main Entree: Roasted Fillet Fish served with potatoes and braised vegetables (I've forgotten some more, the name of this course shouldn't be so short)
Dessert: Apple Struddle
Rm 12 for four courses.
This is the restaurant in our school. Only for hotel management students to do their practicals.
I'm the Bar Tender of the day. There's plenty of tasks to do!Polish goblets and highballs, prepared coffee and tea, wash cups, tea spoons, boil water, keep on refill the water. But, really enjoy it^^
We only have 27 customers out of 30 pax. Which mean, we still have 3 more pax left after the operation time, we are not managed to sell it before 2pm, so, 7 members of our group have to pay for the 3 pax and eat it.
(actually this is the responsibility of the kitchen staffs to pay, but they don't want, there's some arguments between kitchen staffs and restaurant staffs today, sien~)
The bowl with fish balls and rice is staff meal, the others are the set menu (which are the leftover foods).
Mei Yee visited us after the operation.Conclusion: It is a very tough day today, lots of equipments to wash, to dry-off, the most difficult is i have to stand from 10am to 2pm on high-heeled. My toes are puffing like fish balls. LOL!
Anyway, it's a good experience today, i've learnt a lot! Mr.Chow comment on us is "well done, great job for all" *giggling*
